As many of you know, I'm preparing to launch my group tour company, in addition to the services I already offer as a travel consultant. In October I ran a test group trip to Colombia with a goal of learning even more before the official launch. What I didn't realize was the connections I'd make with these amazing women and the depth to which they'd inspire me.
Over eight days we visited Bogotá, Guatapé, and Medellín while soaking in the sites, sounds, cuisine, and of course the rooftop pool at our Medellín hotel. 😉
One of our first activities was a cooking class with @5bogota where we tasted multiple fruits (uchuva, banano bocadillo, guayaba pera, gulupa, and granadilla), stomped on plantains before frying them up for patacones, and then it was time for empanadas! We filled them with potatoes, chicken, cheese, and vegetables depending on our preferences. Once cooked, we learned the proper way to eat them, lime in hand for the perfect bite.
Cooking together was the a great way to start our trip and I can't wait to share the many photos and memories I have of this experience, but I wanted to start with this one to honor these women. The ones who helped me take the next step in my life, my goals, my dreams. Muchas gracias mis amigas!
